October 2021 Summaries

We have successfully completed our SOC 2 audit, and Svix is now SOC 2 certified! This achievement demonstrates the company's commitment to security, privacy, and operational controls, which are essential for trust and transparency in cloud service providers. The SOC 2 report focuses on five categories: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy, highlighting the importance of accountability and continuous investment in these areas. With this certification, Svix aims to maintain its core value of trustworthiness and is not stopping with SOC 2, as it has more compliance news in the pipeline.

We have made significant improvements this month, including enhancements to the endpoint API, such as support for custom UIDs and endpoint secrets, which will allow customers to better manage their endpoints behind corporate firewalls or NATs. Additionally, we've added a new Kotlin library with async support, improved Java error messages, and numerous updates to the app portal and dashboard, including enhanced filtering, inline editing, and loading animations. The postman collection has also been updated, and the long-awaited event type schemas have finally been released, enabling users to set JSON Schemas for each event type and automatically generate the event type catalog. Various other improvements have also been made, including enhancements to the internal webhook dispatcher and environment settings.
