The evolving culture challenge in fast-growth businesses is a critical factor influencing their ability to scale. A year-long pandemic has tested company cultures to the max, and different roles play various factors that make up a culture, including hiring and retaining the right people, aligning goals, and displaying complementary behaviors and mindsets. As a non-founder CEO of a fast-growth technology business, I've seen firsthand how important it is to identify and safeguard unique cultural elements that have made the company successful in its first stage. However, slow changes can lead to a comfort zone mentality, where true fast-growth companies must break down walls and empower teams with a no-limits innovation mindset. To achieve this, leaders should make change about opportunity, not uncertainty, communicate clearly, empower teams without sacrificing accountability, recognize the value of recognition, and keep the flame alive by refiring up entrepreneurial passion and ambition. By doing so, fast-growth businesses can thrive in uncharted waters and continuously evaluate and intervene to stay on course.

Voice technology has been widely adopted by businesses to support their digital transformation projects, improving efficiencies and revenues. Industries such as media and entertainment, banking, financial services, insurance, and transcription solutions have benefited from speech recognition technology in the past year. The current main use cases for voice technology include subtitling and closed captioning, where video content is turned into a text-based format to deliver captions automatically, quickly, and at scale. This has led to a significant increase in global internet traffic, social media usage, and video marketing, with 92% of marketers using video as an important part of their strategy. Voice technology is also being used in customer experience and analytics, web conferencing transcription, education, academic, research transcription, and automotive command and control, enabling businesses to capture, structure, and analyze data derived from voice interactions, improve customer experience, and gain insights from omnichannel approaches.
