November 2016 Summaries

We launched an early beta of iOS error tracking a few months back, received good feedback, and have since made significant improvements to the clients, making them stable and available now. Sentry clients support multiple platforms including iOS, tvOS, macOS, and watchOS, with recommended use of the updated sentry-swift client for best support. Setup is straightforward via CocoaPods, and new features include User Feedback, which prompts users to provide additional information after a crash, and support for stacktraces across multiple threads. We recommend checking out our official GitHub repository and forum for setup guidance, feedback, and feature requests.

We are welcoming Daniel Griesser to our engineering team at Sentry, where he will be focusing primarily on improving and growing our mobile department for iOS error tracking. He joins us from the web agency world, bringing experience in creating various apps, web services, and websites. In his free time, Daniel enjoys playing Hearthstone, experimenting with app development, and trying different beers from around the world.

Sentry is now integrating with Asana, allowing users to create Asana tasks from their Sentry issues by configuring the integration in project settings. This addition expands Sentry's existing integrations with popular apps and services, enabling users to optimize their error tracking workflows. Users can access more information about the integration and provide feedback through Sentry's forum.

Sentry has welcomed Saloni Dudziak as their head of finance, bringing experience from CoreOS where she built out the finance team and developed an appreciation for Excel. In this new role, she will oversee financial operations and serve as a partner in business strategy. Outside of work, Saloni enjoys martial arts training with her kids and spending time with her three energetic dogs.

Sentry has announced that Jess Allen is joining their Customer Success team, bringing her experience from GitHub where she helped customers use GitHub Enterprise and developed a writing skill. Jess will leverage this expertise to assist customers in resolving issues using Sentry. In her personal life, Jess enjoys spending time with cats, attending Phish concerts, and cooking creative dishes like the Crunchwrap Supreme.

Sentry has announced the addition of Sukhpreet Sembhi to their Growth Team, where she will leverage her expertise in data analytics, marketing, and sales operations to drive growth. Previously, Sukhpreet worked at Zenefits, building products to enhance customer retention. In her new role, she will be contributing her skills to the intersection of these areas. Outside of work, Sukhpreet enjoys creative pursuits such as painting abstract geometric shapes and photography.

The Sentry team is ending the year by attending several conferences, including Django Under The Hood in Amsterdam, RubyConf in Cincinnati, Ohio, and AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas, Nevada. At these events, the team will be meeting with users, speaking about topics such as error tracking and memory usage, and showcasing their latest swag. The Sentry team is excited to meet friends and users at these conferences and hopes to catch up with everyone next year.
