Our email provider Mandrill has announced significant changes to their service, prompting us to change outbound email providers. We're doing everything possible to mitigate effects, but our customers may experience a higher chance of receiving Sentry notifications in spam due to this change. To prevent this, we encourage whitelisting Sentry emails by adding [email protected] to contacts or creating filters/rules for our email provider. Spam filtering builds up a "sender reputation" around the IP address of the server, which is being reset when we switch providers, resulting in a gradual warming-up period over 6 weeks before completely cutting over. We apologize for any inconvenience and provide instructions on whitelisting emails.

Happy Hour in San Francisco` Our next Happy Hour will be next Tuesday, so come grab a drink on us and meet everyone in the community to discuss error monitoring and debugging workflows. The event will take place at 7 PM on March 8th at The Willows, 1582 Folsom St., where attendees can also get a t-shirt or hat if needed.

In 2015, Sentry made significant progress in its growth, with over 15 billion errors reported, surpassing 50,000 user accounts, and expanding its services to track JavaScript errors. The company's infrastructure grew from 33 machines to 43 in three datacenters, while increasing costs by 50%. The open source community played a crucial role, with 5893 commits and 69 unique contributors. Sentry's team expanded from two to eight full-time employees, including Adrian Ronacher, who joined the Austria-based team in July 2015. Looking ahead to 2016, Sentry aims to grow its team to 20, focus on mobile platform support, tackle the signal-to-noise problem with alerts, and enhance workflows for teams, including VCS support.

Sentry 2016 Spring Conference Schedule` The Sentry team is attending several conferences around the world this spring, including Fluent in San Francisco, JSConf Uruguay, Craft in Budapest, RailsConf and ng-conf in Kansas City and Salt Lake City respectively, and PyCon in Portland. Various Sentry representatives will be speaking at these events, showcasing their expertise on topics such as JavaScript error tracking, browser crash reporting, Ruby error tracking, AngularJS error tracking, and Python error tracking. The team is also excited to debut new swag and meet with Sentry users and friends at each conference.
