Today we’re rolling out several improvements to the way teams are managed in Sentry, designed to enhance autonomy and reduce unnecessary noise for teams and their members. New features include an 'All Teams' tab that surfaces teams a user might want to join, allowing users to choose which teams they want to be a part of, rather than being automatically added as members of every team. Organizations can now set whether team membership is open or closed, with admins notified via email and seeing pending requests in the app. These changes aim to improve error monitoring by reducing unnecessary noise and providing more control over team membership.

Freight is an API-driven task runner developed by Sentry to manage continuous deployment with better control over where and when to deploy, addressing issues with Jenkins' API and providing features such as multiple apps and environments management, source repository management, basic workspace management, deploy provider abstraction, validation checks, and notifiers. It's designed to be reusable and accessible tooling, allowing for quick integration with various tools like React-based frontend and hubot-freight integrations. Freight is an open-source project, and its development is publicly available on GitHub, making it easy to try out and provide feedback.
