January 2013 Summaries

Sentry has undergone a major redesign with an improved look and enhanced features. The new design includes consistent styling, clearer navigation, real-time updates, and additional error monitoring capabilities. Key improvements include the addition of an activity stream in the group view, easier to read dashboards, better team support, an inline event browser, and more seamless integration with popular tools such as GitHub, Campfire, HipChat, Bitbucket, JIRA, IRC, Pivotal Tracker, Sprint.ly, and Trello. The redesign aims to provide a superior bug tracking workflow for users. Feedback on the new design is welcome.

We've been working on improving our PHP error tracking support by enhancing tools and features such as tracebacks, simple function calling context using reflection APIs, tagging support for events, and more. These updates aim to engage the large PHP community and provide better debugging capabilities with features like frame-to-function and source code context, making it easier to identify and reproduce errors. Additionally, we've introduced tagging support, allowing users to filter and analyze events based on specific values, and plan further improvements to modernize error handling in web applications.
