Semaphore Open Source 1.6, available in Community and Enterprise editions, adds a built-in MCP server that lets authenticated AI agents inspect CI workflows, logs, test results, artifacts, scheduled tasks, and documentation, diagnose failures, and rerun workflows while keeping data on self-managed infrastructure. The release also introduces partial pipeline reruns that execute only failed jobs while retaining successful-job outputs, expanded APIs for artifacts, test results, organization administration, and Enterprise pre-flight checks and insights, plus richer Enterprise OIDC claims for more restrictive cloud deployment policies. Other changes include GitHub merge-queue support, more reliable status reporting, RustFS storage replacing MinIO with generated credentials, signed images and Helm charts, Keycloak 26.8, security hardening, improved logs and pipeline navigation, scalable test-report viewing, GitLab subgroup support, webhook retries, and additional usability enhancements. Existing users should review upgrade guidance because stored artifacts, logs, and caches are not migrated to the new storage, the Keycloak database migration is irreversible, and the v2 API is no longer deployed by default; version 1.6.0 is distributed through Semaphore’s signed Helm chart.
