With a diverse range of 13 teams from over 25 countries, the Replit Ventures 2022 field was highly competitive. The teams offer various missions, including non-profit and for-profit initiatives, as well as different industries such as Web3, Entertainment, and more.

Replit is transitioning its editable embedded Repls to a read-only format starting August 1st due to concerns over abuse, security risks like clickjacking, and the disproportionate maintenance required for a small user base. This change aims to prevent server overload and enhance security by eliminating the potential for malicious code interactions. While live embeds will become non-editable, existing embedded Repls will still be functional in a read-only capacity. Educators who previously relied on embedded Repls are encouraged to transition to Replit Teams for Education, a comprehensive and now free tool that offers features for managing programming assignments. The platform provides a more integrated and efficient teaching solution, with available training to assist educators in making the shift.

Replit has revamped its publish flow to provide a more streamlined sharing experience and increased control for creators over how their work is consumed. The new features include customizable cover pages, the ability to share updates, and the option to publish templates, which can be used by others as starting points for projects. This update aims to make it easier for users to share their creations on the platform.
