The architecture should support key capabilities like real-time data ingestion and processing, device management, and integration with data analytics systems. A typical setup includes IoT sensors and edge devices at the network's edge, a cloud gateway for connectivity, and a streaming data platform like Redpanda for scalable data ingestion and real-time processing. Redpanda's compatibility with Apache Kafka allows for seamless integration with existing tools and systems, enabling efficient event storage and processing across multiple data paths for real-time analytics, long-term storage, and machine learning applications. By leveraging these technologies, organizations can optimize industrial operations, improve productivity, and unlock innovative business opportunities while managing costs effectively over time.
