Redoc CE 3.0 has reached stable production release after a six-week preview and is now available through npm, CDN, Docker, and Redocly CLI, with migration guidance for Redoc 2 users. The release expands support beyond OpenAPI to include OpenAPI 3.2, AsyncAPI, GraphQL SDL, and MCP descriptions, automatically detecting specification types and introducing features such as comprehensive always-on search, route-based navigation, viewport-based rendering for large descriptions, CSS-variable theming, and built-in dark mode. It also adds MCP server documentation, including tools, resources, prompts, generated examples, and client connection buttons, alongside AI-oriented Copy for LLM, Open in Claude, and Open in ChatGPT actions. Redoc 3 uses an ES module bundle and a named init export rather than the global Redoc object, requires React 18.3 and Node 22, and changes CLI configuration and theming conventions. Because latest CDN and Docker references now point to version 3, Redoc 2 users must explicitly pin v2.x if they are not ready to migrate; Redoc 2 will continue receiving security and critical bug fixes, while new development moves to version 3.
