Postmark has announced the release of its Command-Line Interface (CLI), which allows users to push and pull email templates, send emails, and fetch server lists from the command line. The CLI supports various commands such as `templates pull`, `templates push`, `email raw`, and `servers list`. Users can install Node.js and their Postmark account tokens before using the CLI. The CLI provides a convenient way to automate tasks related to email templates and sending emails, making it easier to integrate with CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, users can use environment variables to bypass authentication prompts.

Postmark has launched a new infrastructure called Message Streams, which allows users to send similar messages to multiple recipients with high-quality sending standards. The goal is to make email painless and enjoyable for product development teams while preserving Postmark's world-class transactional service and superior deliverability. This move aims to fill in the gaps between transactional and other types of application emails that need to go out to multiple recipients at once, making life easier for customers who previously had to split their messages across multiple providers. Postmark will continue to manually vet each potential customer and maintain high deliverability standards for transactional email, using separate sending IPs and From domains to ensure optimal deliverability. The new infrastructure enables users to send up to 500 messages per request with up to 10 concurrent connections open, effectively allowing them to send up to 5,000 emails concurrently. Postmark Message Streams is currently in private beta with a public launch planned for later in 2020.

We are making changes to the way we handle headers when sending with SMTP, ensuring that the recipients visible in your messages' To and Cc headers match those shown to final recipients. This change only affects SMTP sending, does not impact API sending, and will not affect recipients who send single emails or use Postmark as a mail relay from an internal server. For most senders, this change will not have an impact, but we encourage you to review your sending integration ahead of the release.
