This month, we shipped financial institution upgrades and a refresh to our docs, as well as a revamped developer onboarding experience and more customization features for Link. We added Auth support for 25 institutions, including First Financial Bank and Utah Community Credit Union, bringing the total number of supported institutions to over 1,700. Our documentation has also been redesigned with a simplified layout, reorganized navigation, code snippets, and search functionality to help developers find what they need more easily. A revamped onboarding experience offers more transparency and better resources for building, while Link now allows developers to choose which institutions feature most prominently in the institution select pane.

Plaid is releasing a new feature that gives developers more control over which financial institutions appear in their apps when using the Link platform. This allows them to choose up to eighteen top institutions to prioritize, making it easier for users to find and connect their accounts. The feature can be customized from the Dashboard, providing more flexibility and inclusivity in product development.

We spent September continuing to improve our financial institution coverage, including upgrading another 150+ institutions. We shipped new features for Link, such as analytics and customization options, allowing users more visibility into their users' actions and control over the Link experience. The new analytics feature includes an onEvent callback that tracks end-user actions in real-time, providing metadata like request IDs and error codes. Additionally, we introduced multi-account select, overlay customization, and integrated with Integrate Today for a seamless user experience.
