Gitpod has introduced changes to its approach to organizations, billing, and cost attribution based on user feedback. Organizations (orgs) now equate to a company and fully own resources such as workspaces, projects, settings, and Single Sign-On users in the near future. Personal accounts have been deprecated and turned into an organization with the same name, with billing moved from user settings to org settings. Cost attribution will soon be attributed to the org that owns the resource, making it clearer and easier to understand. These changes are set to roll out over the next few weeks.
