Through further investigation using Mux's filtering options, they found that Android views with pre-roll ads were experiencing issues. By comparing startup times on two different properties and conducting an A/B test, they confirmed one ad provider generated longer startup times on Android devices. The team swiftly made adjustments to improve startup times by over 35%. While MP4 Support is designed for sharing and offline viewing of videos, Master Access allows users to archive or download high-quality video files for editing purposes. This feature is particularly useful in cases where Mux has the only copy of a live stream or when users upload directly to Mux. Importantly, Mux ensures full ownership of content for its customers, allowing them to move their video files to another platform if needed. Master Access is available at no additional cost, with normal streaming charges applying when downloading the master file.
