Metaplane has integrated with Airbyte, a leading open-source data movement platform, to help users understand the health of their data pipelines over time. The integration enables proactive monitoring and automatic syncing of lineage for stream-to-destination connections. Metaplane's Data Observability platform helps identify common pipeline issues such as failures, latency, performance problems, and data quality discrepancies. By integrating with Airbyte, users can catch pipeline issues like long-running syncs, late-arriving data, and successful syncs that did not move the right amount of data from source to destination.

Metaplane introduces automatic connection suggestions based on query history, service accounts, and integrations like Segment and Airbyte. The platform can infer tools being used from service account names or SQL comments. When a new integration is discovered, it appears as a suggested connection in the left-hand navigation, which can be dismissed if not needed. Users can start monitoring by clicking on suggestions and completing the connection process.

Metaplane now supports webhooks for incident events, allowing users to send data incident events to any third-party tool and automate their incident management workflows. This feature complements the existing native integrations with popular notification and incident destinations like Slack, Microsoft Teams, email, PagerDuty, and Jira. Webhooks can be used for various use cases such as integrating Metaplane with internal notification platforms, opening and resolving incidents using tools like OpsGenie, Incident.io, Grafana, or FireHydrant, creating project management tickets in tools like ClickUp, Jira, Shortcut, and Linear, and kicking off automations based on failures of certain warehouse objects using tools like Zapier. Webhooks are available to all customers, including free accounts, and can be easily set up by visiting the alert settings page in Metaplane.
