Unlike traditional AI tools that may compromise data governance and transparency, Data Apps ensure that every query is visible and permissions are inherited, providing a transparent and secure experience. Early adopters have used Data Apps to build forecasting tools, live data-integrated slide decks, internal reports, and spreadsheets, benefiting from real-time data updates without manual intervention. The feature is currently available for Lightdash Cloud customers, with others encouraged to join the waitlist.
