Infracost has launched Infracost AI in early access alongside Infracost Cloud to help enterprises understand organization-wide AI consumption and model the financial impact of shifting from frontier models to open-weight alternatives. Building on its cloud FinOps tools, which integrate cost visibility into developer workflows and are used more than two million times monthly, the company says rising AI adoption and token costs have made multi-model strategies a board-level concern. Infracost AI collects and reconciles billing, subscription, AI gateway, and OpenTelemetry data to provide visibility into internal employee tools and customer-facing product usage across providers, models, teams, and applications. Its Scenario Builder uses this usage information and a free model-pricing database to estimate savings from open-weight models, model routing approaches, and projected growth, citing public examples from AT&T and Pinterest of substantial savings from replacing frontier models.
