November 2019 Summaries

Key highlights included a presentation by Danielle Lancashire discussing stateful systems and a talk by Janna Brummel and Robin van Zijll on ING Bank's transition to a cloud-native setup using Kubernetes and other tools. Manuel Pias also shared insights on the elephant in the Kubernetes room, emphasizing the need for ops expertise and dedicated teams to manage complex environments. The conference highlighted industry trends towards core setups of Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and similar tools, with a focus on reducing cognitive load through development platforms and platform teams.

The Humanitec Internal Developer Platform (IDP) helped a team manage their Field Force Management application by abstracting away low-level configuration, enabling the team to focus on engineering and speeding up DevOps processes.
