The Event Gateway aims to reduce the complexity of Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), provide end-to-end event observability, ensure reliability and scalability, offer simplified security, and enable error recovery. It differs from an API gateway in its focus on asynchronous communication and handling of events beyond just webhooks.
