Greptile has introduced Plus and Apex code review tiers alongside its existing Base tier, offering progressively more intensive analysis for pull requests that require greater scrutiny. Base uses full codebase context for one credit, Plus costs three credits and performs deeper reviews, while Apex costs 10 credits and is designed for large or complex changes with more time for parallel subagents and tasks. In a benchmark involving a Celestia Core pull request that limits peer signatures during block synchronization, all tiers found that several evidence types bypassed the new limit, while Plus and Apex additionally identified a memory-expansion risk in which a roughly 120 MB payload could exceed 1 GB before validation. Apex further found that the limit could reject valid blocks under certain consensus settings and noted insufficient test coverage. Following its use internally, Greptile reports that Apex found enough issues to change its deployment process, leading the company to run it on large pull requests before production deployment and to make production merges smaller and more frequent.
