Firebase App Distribution’s In-app Feedback feature for Android is designed to improve pre-release testing by letting testers submit contextual feedback directly within an app. After developers add the App Distribution SDK to pre-release build variants, they can display a built-in notification that allows testers to capture screenshots and complete feedback forms, or optionally create custom triggers such as a button available only in beta builds. Submitted feedback appears in the Firebase console and includes the tester’s comments, screenshots, identity, and the specific release being tested, helping developers reproduce and address issues more effectively. Feedback can also be forwarded through Cloud Functions for Firebase to external systems such as Jira, Slack, Discord, or internal issue-tracking tools.
