The company is introducing a new pricing model that charges users based on the amount of data transferred after reaching a monthly limit. Current DigitalOcean accounts are grandfathered in and will receive free bandwidth forever.

We are excited to announce that our API now supports SSH Keys for virtual server creates, allowing customers to spin-up new servers through the API with a single or multiple SSH keys already added to the root user. This update also includes defaulting to SSH keys for authorization and not emailing out the root password for added security.
