We spent weeks working on our pitch; leading up to Demo Day, we honestly hated the process. Every time we presented, we were met with the same question: how are we different from our biggest competitors? We knew we needed help, so we relied on TechStars awesome mentor network and ended up rewriting our entire pitch in just two weeks. Luckily it paid off! By answering the biggest question that we had during the entire program, we effectively not only told the vision of DigitalOcean, but simultaneously answered the question that was on everyone’s mind. The result was that every investor conversation that followed: not a single person asked us how we were going to differentiate from our competitors.

TechStars, a well-known startup accelerator program, is hosting a Demo Day event in Boulder, Colorado. As part of this event, DigitalOcean will be presenting their products to the local tech community. The company has been based in Boulder for three months and has found that the town's small population creates a strong sense of community among its tech startups. This community support has been instrumental in helping DigitalOcean succeed during their time in Boulder. Despite being part of a larger program, DigitalOcean has fallen in love with the town and plans to return for many visits.

The company was selected from over 1400 applicants and will participate in a 13-week high-impact accelerator program. DigitalOcean looks forward to bringing its NYC hustle to Boulder, where it will make progress on various initiatives, including the launch of its community website with behind-the-scenes articles about its experiences at TechStars. The company is excited for the summer ahead and is honored to be part of this prestigious program.
