Datadog has announced support for Windows, allowing users to capture system and application metrics across their entire infrastructure. The platform now supports all StatsD clients, including .NET, Python, Ruby, and more. Additionally, three new Windows integrations have been released: SQL Server, IIS, and Event Viewer. These integrations enable the collection of key performance counters for tracking database performance, capturing web server metrics, and converting application and system events into Datadog events with customizable filters. The support for Windows is part of Datadog's commitment to providing monitoring solutions across hybrid infrastructures.

We are happy to announce that we now support Windows. With a quick install of our brand new Windows agent, you will be able to start capturing system and application metrics for correlation and aggregation across your entire infrastructure. We have out-of-the-box support for all StatsD clients, supporting .NET, Python, Ruby and more. For a true Windows monitoring experience, we're releasing three new integrations: SQL Server, IIS, and Event Viewer. These integrations capture key performance counters like network traffic, requests per second, and request methods for web servers like Microsoft's IIS. We also support the standard Windows Server applications, including database management tools like SQL Server, which captures vital performance metrics. Additionally, we offer a feature to turn application and system events into Datadog events, allowing you to set up filters on Windows events and associate custom tags with them. With these new integrations, we aim to be the solution for monitoring across your entire infrastructure, including hybrid infrastructures with both legacy Linux machines and brand new Windows servers.
