The Daily TV system is designed to facilitate team collaboration and presentations, allowing for effective use of big screens in conference rooms. It offers wireless sharing capabilities without the need for remotes, making it easy to pair computers with TVs using a code displayed on the screen. The system supports various devices, including computers, mobile users, and audio dial-in users, but has limitations such as not allowing screen sharing from these groups. Sharing options include both screen and audio sharing, with different requirements depending on the device being used. When sharing audio, it's essential to ensure that one's own computer is muted to avoid duplicate sound output.

Zapier is an automation tool that makes it easy to connect different services together, enabling users to automate tasks and workflows without requiring extensive coding knowledge. A recent integration between Zapier and Daily.co allows users to create a notification in Slack whenever a video call recording is created on the platform. To set up this integration, users must first create a Zapier account and log in to their Daily.co dashboard to obtain an API key, which is then used to connect the two services. The process involves selecting triggers and actions, such as sending notifications to Slack when a new recording is created, without requiring any coding or technical expertise. Once set up, users can customize their template messages and turn on their Zap to receive notifications in real-time.

Our always-on solution with Daily.co TV now supports larger live streams, allowing up to 8 locations, each with Ethernet, to stream to each other all day. This is our TV solution, which also offers a secure always-on portal on your website, app or team dashboard. For teams with remotes or distributed locations, an always-on portal provides a virtual office or water cooler, no matter where everyone physically is. The number of colleagues who join matters when streaming live video all day, as large constant streams can consume a lot of data over time. We've reworked our architecture to allow more efficient always-on streaming, especially for Ethernet connections, which are more cost-effective than using the cloud. Our default always-on solution uses a hybrid approach, switching from peer-to-peer to the cloud when a fifth person joins a meeting with 4 or fewer participants. This allows us to offer the speed and privacy of p2p on basic calls while making larger calls possible. We've also updated our always-on solution to support larger portals for teams, allowing up to 8 constant streams on Ethernet, which is cost-effective but requires Ethernet connections.
