July 2021 Summaries

We're excited to announce that Cube Dev has raised $15.5M in Series A funding, led by Decibel, following a busy year of growth and development, including the launch of powerful new features and the emergence of a large community around our open-source project Cube.js, which has tackled hard problems in building fundamental infrastructure for data applications, and now plans to expand its team, develop new features such as real-time pre-aggregations from Kafka streams and databases, and launch a fully managed service called Cube Cloud, with the goal of empowering developers to build modern data applications.

The latest release of Cube Core v0.28 brings several improvements and changes to the developer experience, including enhancements to Cube Store, reliability improvements to database drivers, and a new Playground feature with improved search capabilities and support for Vue 3, among other exciting features. The release includes updates to query transformations, server settings, schema definitions, pre-aggregations, and driver configurations, all aimed at making it easier for developers to work with the platform. Notably, Redis configuration variables have been prefixed with CUBEJS_, and several breaking changes and deprecations have been made to improve performance and reliability.
