Guard Rails is now available in open beta for Courier, allowing businesses to set upper limits on message sending per time period. This feature provides various time periods such as billing period, hour, day, week, and month, with notifications sent when a limit is exceeded. Tenant admins receive a notification email if throttling occurs, ensuring critical messages are prioritized. Additionally, email open tracking is now supported even with template overrides, allowing for easy tracking of opened emails in Courier logs. We've added message icon customization for inbox messages, enabling users to set different icons for each notification type. The CourierJS client SDK is now available in JavaScript, simplifying the process of incorporating Courier into projects and eliminating the need for an additional back-end service. We've also introduced new API calls, including identify, subscribe, and unsubscribe, as well as a Datadog integration for product notifications data. Improvements have been made to logs, automations testing, template overrides, and other features, addressing bugs and enhancing user experience.

The SDK includes three new API calls: the identify call for tying a user to actions they perform, and the subscribe and unsubscribe calls for managing communication preferences with ease. This simplifies interactions, reduces workload, saves time, and accelerates implementation of new features, making it an invaluable tool in communication management.
