We've developed the Data Observatory, a repository of thousands of spatial datasets from public and premium sources, to reduce the cost and time-to-insight for analysts and data scientists working with spatial analytics. Data Enrichment is becoming increasingly important to gain a competitive advantage in various sectors such as Retail, CPG, Real Estate, and Advertising. We've completed the redevelopment of our Location Intelligence platform, adopting a fully cloud-native architecture, extending geospatial capabilities on Google BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS Redshift, while maintaining benefits around privacy, compliance, scalability, and lower costs. Our Analytics Toolbox provides a complete framework for spatial analytics in SQL, computed natively in leading cloud data warehouse platforms, enabling users to run scalable enrichment queries without complex ETL processes. For Data Enrichment, we've implemented 12 procedures that can be differentiated by type of geometries, source of data, and aggregation operations, allowing users to easily enrich their analysis with location-based context. Our platform now supports data enrichment in Google BigQuery and Snowflake, with plans to add support for Amazon Redshift and Databricks in the coming months.

The global pandemic had a significant impact on outdoor advertising, with ad revenues dropping 29% in 2020, but as restrictions relaxed, consumer spending increased, leading to a resurgence in outdoor advertising with a 38% increase in ad spend in the last quarter of 2021. Major brands are now investing heavily in outdoor media, using creative campaigns and innovative tactics such as installing fake surveillance cameras or walkthrough billboards. To support these efforts, CARTO for OOH Advertising has been developed to provide data-driven marketing solutions, combining spatial analytics, map visualization, and media planning features, giving outdoor advertising specialists a data-driven approach to optimize campaign targeting and streamline the media planning process. The application ingests information on all available outdoor assets, enriching inventory with demographic, human mobility, brand affinity, and point of interest data, allowing for dynamic map visualizations and media plans created amended and shared in just a few clicks.

Assisted Living Facilities Site Selection for Elderly Care` highlights the growing need for elderly care services as the global population ages, with an expected market size of USD 2.056 billion by 2027, driven primarily by housing and assistive devices. To address this growth, modern site selection analysts must combine Location Intelligence with relevant data to identify optimal locations for new assisted living facilities. A solution like CARTO for Site Selection enables owners and investors to analyze whitespace opportunities, understand resident demographics, and model new locations using performance metrics and geospatial data. The platform incorporates various data streams, including population density, land usage, public transit, hospital location, existing facility locations, weather, behavioral trends, and competitor data. Three core analytical functions - Twin Area Analysis, Whitespace Analysis, and New Site Simulation - are available to identify optimal sites, avoid competition, and predict revenue potential. By leveraging Location Intelligence, nursing facility chains can make informed decisions and avoid costly mistakes.
