Meta recently released Buck2, a rewritten build tool in Rust with backward compatibility features. The pros of Buck2 include an incredible CLI UX and first-class Remote Execution support. However, it currently lacks Build Telemetry and has no Repository Phase for external dependencies. While the performance is impressive, Buck2 still has some foot guns that need to be addressed before it can replace typical enterprise build tools like Bazel.

BuildBuddy introduces keyboard shortcuts for its Build Result UI feature, allowing developers to save time and increase efficiency while using the app. The shortcuts can be enabled in the personal preferences menu on the settings page. A help menu explaining the shortcuts is accessible by pressing ? to show and Esc to hide. Developers are encouraged to provide feedback on this new feature or suggest additional shortcuts they would like to see implemented.
