Blacksmith announced a $45 million Series B financing led by Peak XV, with existing investors Y Combinator and GV increasing their support, valuing the company at $550 million in a round completed in March 2026. The company says adoption of AI coding tools, particularly following the release of Claude Opus 4.5, has sharply increased software output and CI demand, with jobs on its platform growing 5–10% weekly and customers reporting major increases in pull-request volume and infrastructure strain.
