GitGoat is an open-source tool designed for DevOps and Engineering teams to prevent misconfigurations on GitHub. It enables testing of products with access to GitHub repositories without risking the production environment. The tool generates dummy activity, such as inviting users, committing code, reviewing PRs, etc., which can be used to test new GitHub applications or products that call GitHub APIs. Developed by Arnica, a company focused on identifying risks in the software supply chain, GitGoat is available for use and improvement through contributions from the community.
