NZOR Web API provides a publicly accessible service that enables applications to use data from the core NZOR repository, allowing users to list and view details about an organism's name, search organism names, and access information providers, enumerations, and vocabulary used in NZOR. The NZOR web application programming interface (API) is hosted by Landcare Research and is designed to drive innovation in the management of terrestrial biodiversity and land resources. To support this goal, Landcare Research organized a hackathon called Nature Hack 2015, which provided developers with SDKs for the NZOR API in various programming languages, enabling them to build web services and applications related to nature using environmental data from Landcare Research.

CLOUD M is a leading innovator of cloud-based native mobile apps for keeping people safe in various settings, with its Alerter app used by New Zealand Government agencies and its latest product Blerter empowering personal responsibility for health & safety in high-risk workplaces. The company started as an API company but faced challenges scaling its API to support multiple platforms and languages due to resource constraints. To address this, CLOUD M tried out APIMatic's automated SDK creation service, which successfully converted a large proportion of its API to native language auto-generated SDKs, allowing for faster development and deployment of new features. The transition has been successful, with the company now seeing benefits from reduced complexity and increased resources allocated to developing new features, positioning CLOUD M as a technology partner helping it maximize its resources.
