Ray Summit 2024 will take place in San Francisco, CA from September 30th to October 2nd, featuring a two-day conference and a third day dedicated to training. The event aims to showcase various topics such as Ray use cases, AI platforms, scalable AI, AI in production, large language models, generative AI, model training, cloud computing, and AI performance efficiency. Proposals for technical talks are currently being accepted with a submission deadline of May 9th at 5:00pm PT. The conference will feature two types of talks: technical lightning talks covering digestible code examples or quick demos, and technical talks providing rich detail on topics such as problem-solving, lessons learned, and code examples.

The rapid growth of AI workloads is putting pressure on power grids worldwide, with experts warning of potential consequences such as higher energy prices, brownouts, and accelerated climate change. To address this issue, Intel has announced plans to deliver the next generation of its specialized "Gaudi" family of AI accelerators, known as Intel Gaudi 3, in 2024. This new technology is designed to optimize performance, scale, and efficiency for AI workloads, and Anyscale's latest release of Ray, Ray 2.10, adds support for Intel Gaudi 3. The integration of Ray and Gaudi enables users to spin up and manage their own clusters, tap into Ray Serve on Gaudi, and configure Gaudi infrastructure for use at the Ray Train layer. As a result, Anyscale is expanding its partnership with Intel, which includes collaborative development, investment from Intel Capital, and ongoing optimizations for maximum performance and efficiency.
