Aiven has introduced a Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) deployment option, allowing customers to deploy Aiven services directly into their own public cloud account while enjoying the benefits of Aiven's managed service experience. This partnership enables customers to scan private repositories for Aiven secrets and API tokens, ensuring that confidential code is as secure as open source packages. The secret scanning program helps identify and prevent exposure of sensitive information, saving developers time and resources while also ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS and HIPAA.

Aiven has partnered with GitHub's secret scanning program to enhance security for cloud data infrastructure. The partnership enables private repository scanning for Aiven secrets and API tokens, which was previously only available for public repositories. This helps customers keep their confidential code as secure as their open source packages. When a match is found in a private repository, the repository admins and committer are alerted, allowing them to manage the issue via the Security tab in GitHub. The partnership aims to protect sensitive data from being compromised or unauthorized actions taken due to accidentally committed secrets on GitHub.

4.screen is a fast-growing startup from Munich, Germany that has built the world's first driver interaction platform powered by Aiven for Apache Kafka®. The company is part of Aiven's Cluster program, which provides up to $100,000 in credits for Aiven services. 4.screen chose managed data services over managing infrastructure in-house due to the need to scale and iterate quickly. They found a great match with Aiven, which offers comprehensive and reliable Kafka hosting and management solutions that allow them to focus on their product and customers without getting bogged down by complexities of managing Kafka themselves. The company uses Aiven for Redis® for managing hot data and sees eye-to-eye with Aiven in terms of open source standards, seamless integration with major cloud providers, and the importance of infrastructure as code.
