Aiven has released the second version of its Terraform provider, which is now listed in the Terraform registry. The update includes automatic installation through the registry, new resources such as accounts, Kafka schemas and VPC peering, added documentation with examples for various services, support for managing MySQL databases, and termination protection for Aiven services. Terraform is a tool that simplifies infrastructure management by allowing users to write out the architecture of their systems in Hashicorp Configuration Language. It compares the state of all pieces making up an infrastructure with changes that need to be made, preventing unintended destruction of resources. The update aims to make setting up Aiven's Terraform provider easier and more efficient for users.
