Apache Kafka's write throughput performance has been updated by Aiven, a managed cloud services provider. The benchmark test was conducted to reflect real-world workloads better than the previous 2017 test. Changes were made to the setup and monthly throughput cost calculations for each plan on different cloud platforms. Business-4, Business-8, and Premium-6x-8 plans were tested, with impressive results in terms of messages per second and throughput in MB/second. The cost per performance was also calculated for each plan. Aiven Kafka continues to perform well and scales nicely with added resources and increased cluster sizes.

Aiven now supports Google OAuth Single Sign-On (SSO), allowing users to sign up and access the platform using their personal or corporate Google account credentials. This integration simplifies account management, especially for companies with multiple applications requiring username and password management. With over 4 million organizations using G Suite, this feature is expected to be beneficial for many users. Aiven plans to support Google SAML in the future as well.
