In 2024 we re-launched and shipped hard, what's in store for 2025?
Blog post from Zerops
Zerops, initially shut down by its corporate owner, was relaunched as an independent startup led by the original development team, focusing on enhancing developer experience and infrastructure. The platform has gained traction among developers, with over 2,000 users deploying various projects, from simple static websites to complex systems, highlighting its balance between flexibility, scalability, and affordability. Recent updates include introducing a free lightweight project core package to cater to smaller projects, a native backup mechanism, and the addition of virtual machines integrated into the Incus ecosystem, offering a robust alternative to major cloud providers. Enhancements were also made to developer tools, such as remote web shell access and pipeline debugging options, while improving platform speed and expanding service offerings with support for popular runtimes and managed services. Infrastructural improvements were implemented to address performance bottlenecks, and new partnerships were formed to integrate Angular's full-stack capabilities. Looking ahead, Zerops plans to introduce CDN for static apps, multi-regional capabilities, and a customizable notification system, among other features, to further strengthen its position as a versatile platform for developers.
