The Twiliobot for Google Wave was developed by Evan Cooke as part of a Google App Engine pod at Google I/O, where he aimed to share ideas with developers on using Twilio with Google App Engine to build powerful voice applications. Evan successfully integrated the Twilio API with Google Wave to create twiliobot, a robot that automatically transforms phone numbers in a wave into click-to-call links and connects users for phone conversations, which can be recorded, transcribed, and inserted into the wave as text. This project leveraged the ease of integration between Google Wave and other APIs, such as Mappy using the Google Maps API and Rosy using the Google Language API, to create a powerful voice application that showcases the capabilities of Twilio with Google App Engine.
