Audrey won a Dell mini Netbook and $1000 in App Engine credit for building Price It By Phone, an application that uses Twilio and the Amazon API on Google App Engine to comparison-shop for books with your touch-tone phone. The app allows users to look up book prices by calling a specific number, which then provides them with the lowest new and used prices from Amazon.com. Audrey built the app in just two days, using the Twilio+App Engine combination as a starting point, and found it to be relatively easy to work with. She also praised the helpfulness of the Twilio forums and is already working on an update for the app.
