Douglas Olsen, a CIO and entrepreneur, was inspired to build his company Kmunic8 after his mother's personal tragedy led him to focus on improving communication among family and friends. He discovered that there wasn't an existing solution to this problem, so he decided to create one, which would now automate the process of relaying the same message across multiple mediums. With the backing of the TwilioFund, Douglas has the financial support needed to expand his app, with the goal of paying back his mother for her lifetime care and honoring her memory by donating 10% of profits to a relevant charity.
