LOOP is an interactive art installation in Beijing that uses Twilio to enable commuters to contribute their voices, songs, poetry, or sounds to a bus's soundtrack, creating a democratic and open-source art exhibit. The project was designed by Xiaowei R. Wang and Ian Pearce as part of the 2014 Beijing Design Week. LOOP aims to make bus rides more than just a commute by turning them into automotive galleries where commuters can share their culture with others. By using Twilio's Voice service, commuters can easily record and contribute audio samples to the project without needing any special equipment or software. The project has already launched and is now open for new contributions from commuters-turned-artists.
