The inaugural SingleStore start[c]up competition was held over a weekend, challenging some of the world's best programmers in a 3-hour grueling competition. The event featured complex problems that tested skills such as binary search, pigeonhole principle, and probabilities, with only one contestant able to solve all five problems. The winner, Petr Mitrichev from Russia, took home $1,200 in prizes, including a grand prize of an 11-inch MacBook Air for participating in a poker tournament. The event was a success, with contestants coming from around the world to participate, and SingleStore plans to continue hosting such events in the future.
