Frances, Co-Director of Techqueria and a software engineer at Slack, was awarded Sentry's Open Source Grant to help scale their non-profit organization. She applied for the grant with the help of her team and was thrilled when she received the news in March. Frances used the grant period to revamp the website, adding features and integrations that improved its functionality and user experience. With the help of the open-source community, they were able to close 41 different issues over three months and even integrated Sentry to catch tricky bugs. The website's growth was impressive, with over 170 stars on GitHub and a significant increase in traffic and donations. Frances also took on new roles within Techqueria, becoming an Open Source Lead and eventually the Co-Director. She emphasizes that open-source is about being in a constant state of improvement and finding joy in collaboration and community.
