Q&A with iFood’s Thales Biancala on Delivering Restaurants One Hundred Million Events a Month

In a Q&A with software engineer Thales Biancalana, it was revealed that iFood adopted ScyllaDB to accommodate its rapid growth, which saw a jump from 1 million to 20 million monthly orders in just over two years, and the number of merchants doubling in less than a year. Despite the platform's capacity to handle over 10 times its maximum peak load, iFood continuously experiments with new technologies to manage its escalating operational demands.
