Rollbar SDKs and the new Apple-Silicon Mac Platform

Apple introduced its new processor, the Apple M1, alongside the latest product updates, prompting developers to test software compatibility on the new platform using the Apple Developer Transition Kit (DTK). The Rollbar team examined the performance of their Rollbar-iOS and Rollbar.NET SDKs on the new ARM64 architecture. The Rollbar-iOS SDK v2, soon to be released as Rollbar-Apple SDK, compiled and ran seamlessly on macOS Big Sur, transmitting data correctly to the Rollbar Project Dashboard. In contrast, the Rollbar.NET SDK faced initial compilation issues due to Xamarin dependencies but succeeded after updating to the latest package versions, indicating eventual compatibility with the new ARM-based platform. These tests highlight the readiness of Rollbar's SDKs for Apple's transition to custom silicon, ensuring continued functionality and support for developers.
