October Release Roundup
Blog post from Rollbar
Rollbar introduced a series of updates in October, focusing on enhancements to its Ruby gem, new functionalities, and improved user interface elements. The rollbar gem for Ruby saw two significant releases, versions 1.1.0 and 1.2, incorporating support for Ruby 2.1 exception causes, a new 'failover_handlers' feature, and a more efficient interface for data submission. Rollbar also launched a new status site for real-time updates on outages and processing pipeline latencies and implemented features allowing users to link Rollbar items with existing issues in various third-party trackers like GitHub and JIRA. Additional updates include geolocation data for IP addresses, enhanced item statistics visibility, a 24-hour time format option, and a roughly 33% increase in processing pipeline speed. Improvements were made to API methods, rollbar-android, and rollbar.js, along with bug fixes and better integration with platforms like Slack and HipChat.
