Rescale announces University Research Grant Competition
Blog post from Rescale
Rescale, through its Rescale University Program (ReUP), has launched a research grant competition offering cloud simulation platform credits to researchers at academic institutions globally. The competition awards credits in varying amounts, with first, second, and third place winners receiving $2,000, $1,000, and $500 respectively, while all other applicants receive $50. The credits, expiring one semester after being awarded, are intended to facilitate faster compute-heavy analyses. Eligibility extends to individual researchers and research groups at accredited universities and institutions, requiring them to submit a brief proposal outlining their scientific problem, usage plan for Rescale, and simulation software type by September 9, 2013. Winners will be announced on September 16, 2013, and must complete their projects by January 17, 2014, followed by a case study submission detailing their research and the benefits of the Rescale platform.
