Chatbots have become an integral part of daily life, often without users realizing it, as they evolve to form meaningful relationships with humans through sophisticated interactions powered by Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) and socket connections. Technologies like IBM Watson Conversation, Amazon Lex, and Google DialogFlow facilitate natural language processing and machine learning, enabling bots to simulate human-like conversations, assist in specific tasks such as customer support, sales, and training, and augment business operations. While current one-on-one communication models limit bots to a request-response loop, EDA allows for asynchronous, dynamic group interactions, where humans and bots can exchange ideas and continue conversation threads seamlessly. Platforms like PubNub, in conjunction with conversation APIs, support real-time notifications and shared dialogues in group settings, which are essential for engaging multiple stakeholders in synchronized discussions, even as the lines between human and bot interactions continue to blur, challenging users to discern between the two.
