We launched a new video series about Vitess, an open source horizontal sharding framework for MySQL developed at YouTube and now maintained by the CNCF. The videos feature Sugu Sougoumarane, co-creator of Vitess and CTO of PlanetScale, and cover topics such as cloud-native attributes, VReplication, and real-time rollups. The series aims to provide an overview of Vitess' features and capabilities, with new content being added regularly to include frequently asked questions, lesser-known features, and behind-the-scenes facts. For those interested in getting started with Vitess, resources such as the Slack community, quickstart guide, and open-sourced Vitess Operator for Kubernetes are available.
