Responding to the Needs of Local Communities at the Forefront of COVID-19
Blog post from PagerDuty
PagerDuty.org has launched the PagerDuty.org Fund to support equitable and sustainable communities, focusing on addressing food security, essential resources, education, and shelter during the COVID-19 pandemic. The fund's inaugural round of community grantees includes nine organizations providing critical support, such as the Atlanta Community Food Bank, St. Mungo’s Respite Center, and Code Tenderloin. These organizations focus on sustainable livelihoods, inclusion, diversity, and meeting basic needs of vulnerable populations. The grantees were chosen in collaboration with the Community Responders council and PagerDuty is also matching employee donations and initiating a virtual Volunteer Response week. The initiative aims to empower communities through real-time responses to the pandemic's challenges, emphasizing the importance of adapting services to provide essential support to those affected by the crisis.
